High-volume small-to-medium workgroups looking for one piece of equipment to fill all of their needs can look to the MFC-L5800DW All-in-One Monochrome Laser Printer from Brother to help them print, scan, copy, and fax documents. This quick, wireless-capable printer has an exceptional print speed of 42 ppm, which also applies to copy speed, and it has a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi. Users will also be able to easily produce documents ranging in size up to 8.5 x 14" with ease using either the 250-sheet main input tray or the 50-sheet multipurpose tray.
Both a 70-sheet ADF and a large legal-size flatbed are available for scanning and copying. Scanning benefits from a great optical resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi and it can work in simplex at 28 ipm in black or 20 ipm in color. For ease of use, there is a 3.7" color touchscreen for checking status and manipulating settings. A USB port on the front can be used for direct printing and scanning and the printer does have standard USB 2.0 and Ethernet connections. In addition to this, the MFC-L5800DW has Wi-Fi connectivity for wireless access from a computer or mobile device.

We have owned all in one Brother laser printers for sometime now. Always been very reliable for us as a small business owner. However, our recent purchase has encountered scanning issues which where deemed unsolvable. Quite the inconvenience for us, having said that, Brother has stepped up to the plate and is replacing the unit for us. Fingers crossed the replacement gives us another set of great years of operation. Certainly will continue to support Brother products. Overall the unit has taken care of all our needs.

Easy setup, high paper capacity All-In-One Printer. Accepts a 3000 page or 8000 page toner cartridge. If replacing PC, Brother has easy download printer driver, etc.

The MFC-L5800DW has excedded the needs we have at our small chruch. It has been doing a consistent and reliable job for us since 2018. Changing the ink and the drum and been extremly easy. Because of my lack of tech knowlege I have yet to print wireless. The other printer we have is a Brother color printer which we are very happy with. For an office or small busniess I would higly recomend it.
Disappointed - switching to a Canon

Purchased new in February 2020. I don't remember the exact problem, but it required a replacement in September 2020. Brother sent a refurbished printer. Worked fine until about a month ago, when pages starting printing with a crease in it. Brother said no longer under warranty, as the replacement warranty is good for only 30 days. The rep said bring it in to a repair shop to see what the problem is, as troubleshooting did not find the issue. Our company has always purchased Brother printers, but will switch to a Canon. I see a similar type printer from Canon offers a 3 year warranty.
